About the event
Come join us MLK Weekend for our “Health is Wealth” Wellness event January 15th from 11am-3pm at the YMCA Selma. The BBCDC was given the Community Engagement Alliance(CEAL) grant from UAB to host this event, which centers around Mental Health and the “Don’t Wait…Vaccinate” initiative.
Our goal is to raise awareness around, not just mental health and the vaccine, but to highlight the available resources in health, wellness and financial literacy, that Selma has to offer. This event is free to the public and will feature a local food truck, health and wellness vendors, a kids zone and vaccination site.
